Yearly Report
of Pastor Solomon and Sangita Lepcha, Nepal
I want to
thank God for His grace and protection to my family during
2005. I’m grateful for your valuable prayer support that
enabled my family to move forward in Christ. Thank you!
It has been
a year since Sangita and I got married. After marriage my
family life was a huge blessing full of happiness. On August
10, 2005 God gave us a beautiful son but he stayed with us for
only 14 days. During that critical time God taught us to trust
in Him. Sangita is still weak but she is recovering slowly. I
encourage her every day. As you all know, it is very hard for a
mother to lose her baby. In spite of all this we understand
that all things work together for good to those who love God. I
hope God will give us His best in coming days.
This year my
personal experience with God was excellent. He taught me to be
strong and trust Him even though our first child died. Some
time I feel frustrated and discouraged, but God encourages me
from His Word. For my spiritual needs I spent
30
days in
fasting. I prayed earnestly and got closer to the Lord.
This year I
shared the Gospel with 1,571 People, followed up with 1,345
people and distribute Gospel tracts to 1,228 unbelievers. I led
248 people to the Lord and brought 358 people to the church for
the first time. I spent 725 hours in intercessory prayer. I
prayed for 902 sick people and many got healed. I would like to
share one testimony with you.
Man Bahadur
is 29 years old. He is married with a son and a daughter. Man
Bahadur was born and brought up in an orthodox Buddhist family.
His father was a head Lama (Buddhist priest) in his village.
Whenever there were sick people around the village, he used
black magic to cure them. One day Man Bahadur got very sick.
His stomach was swollen, and he could not eat or drink. Every
day his father performed witchcraft to heal him, but he could
not. The villagers lost respect for his father because he
could not heal his own son. It went on for three years and Man
Bahadur got worse.
Seeing no
change his relatives took him to the hospital. He stayed in the
hospital for almost two years. His parents spent thousands of
rupees for his treatment and medication, but he was still not
well.
One day with
tears rolling down their cheeks, Man Bahadur and his wife came
to visit me at 5:00 in the morning. They shared the entire
story with me. I served them tea and then shared the Good news
of Jesus. As I shared, both of them wept again. Soon I was
able to lead them in the sinner's prayer.
That morning
I anointed Man Bahadur with oil and prayed in tongues. While
praying I felt healing power flowing through me. After one hour
of prayer Man Bahadur fell down on the ground. I picked him up
and laid him on my bed. After 25 minutes he woke up with a big
smile on his face. He said, “THERE IS NO PAIN!” We all thanked
God for His mercy. From that day he was completely healed and
free from pain.
Seeing this
miracle, Man Bahadur’s entire family, including his father got
saved. Now they are active members in our church.
My vision
for 2006 is to win 1,000 people to Christ. Also, my goal is to
start two new fellowships this year. I will deeply appreciate
your prayers for the following needs. Please pray for a motor
bike for evangelism outreach, a TV to show Jesus film to the
unbelievers, a piece of our own land to conduct church services
in and new workers to assist me in the Gospel work. Thank you
and God bless you. |
