AnandNagar, City of Joy is a project
we're undertaking in Nepal that will transform existing
communities with little or no infra-structure. Villages of
500-2000 people have no education, clean drinking water,
commerce or a place of worship. City of Joy project aims
to bring these services and make these community a vital,
productive and influential society. Will you partner with
us to transform a community and make eternal difference?
In the month of May, one of our
partners sponsored six sewing machines for the village
ladies in far west part of Nepal where we're planning to build
AnandNagar
(City of Joy). In less than a month machines were bought
and
training began as you can see here. In approximately
three moths these ladies who have had no income
in the past will become productive citizens
in their community. It is a small step
but little by little it will transform
the community.
Kalabati is a simple village girl with a passion to improve the
quality of life in her village
in the remote far western part of Nepal. The following
video describes how she's
impacting her community by teaching adult women how to
read and write. Young girls (as these ladies once were)
in the villages of Nepal hardly get a chance to
go to school. Kalabati is giving these
ladies a second chance to go back
to school they missed in
their childhood.
Building City of Joy, (AnandNagar -
literally "Community of Joy) is a project
to improve the quality of life in poverty stricken areas of the
Himalayas
where there is no infra-structure. Our goal is to empower
the people
with clean drinking water, education, vocational training,
community development, preventive health care and
spiritual impartation. The Scriptures says, "The
Goodness of God leads people to repentance."
Children in Nepal, learning without
books, pencils
and at times even without drinking water.
School in a remote village of Western
Nepal. There's no chairs,
tables,
coloring books, text books, notebooks, or pencils.
These children come to this village school surrounded by
dense forest
with wild animals roaming about. Teachers
carry drinking water
in buckets from their homes for these children.
