Will you have a Pastor if he didn’t receive his wage

for one year?

Dear Partner:

In NORTHERN INDIA, there is only one church for every 2,000 villages.  In northwestern Haryana, one of India's most unevangelized states, 99%of the people are Hindu idol worshippers.  Many of them oppose the Gospel, often threatening to kill Christian workers.  We received the following report from a Pastor working in North India.

A Gospel crusade were planned to organize in Yamuna Nagar, North India and its preparation started months before. The local Hindu religious groups came to know about the meeting and they started threatening people to stay away from this meeting. It was the first time in history to have a gospel campaign like this.  People showed much interest to hear the word of God.

For the first two days the meeting went smoothly.  But the third day, Hindu radicals came to hinder the meeting.  They noticed that the crowds began to grow.  In spite of threats, people had gathered to attend the meeting.

One evening, they stormed the stage, from both sides.  They brought a paralyzed man and a 12 years old boy who was deaf and dumb from birth to the stage.  They said, “You Christians teach and train your own people to fake supernatural healing and then they give testimonies.  Today, we have brought our men.  You pray and heal them, and then we will see.”

We prayed for both of them.  After prayer we snapped our fingers and the boy shook his head indicating he could hear.  When we asked if he could speak he nodded yes.  We asked his name.  He said, “Mukesh”.  Seeing this miracle the Hindu radicals left the stage arguing with each other.  This miraculous work of God spread thru the city like wild fire.  In the days following, people came from every corner of the city to hear the Word of God.

The Pastor who sent me the report you just read, told me this week, “Brother I have been working among the slums, the poor and the untouchables.  I have 50 believers who attend my church faithfully.  They tithe generously – a huge proportion of their income to the church.  But they have so little.  They bring a bundle of vegetables or a handful of rice as tithe because they have no cash.  I have not received any support for nearly one year.  I am in debt and if something doesn’t change, I’ll be forced to find a secular job to provide for my family.”

This year, we’ve reached over 20,000 souls; most of them heard the Good News for the first time.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTNERSHIPYour sacrificial gifts and prayers are the key to our success.  I’m personally scheduled to be in India in the last week of November.  God’s people are depending on us.  I cannot go there empty handed.

Friend, we need your partnership to reach the lost.  Your gift of $25, $50, $100 or more will make a massive impact in the mission field.  We need to train, recruit and send out more Gospel workers.  Most of them do their jobs with as little as one dollar a day.  With $600 a year YOU can train and put a native missionary on the field.  And YOU can plant a living church of 30-50 believers with as little as $1,000.  We need $6,500 to cover for the expenses by the end of October.  Will you please pray and ask the Lord how YOU can make a difference in eternity?

Also please don’t forget, we care about you and your needs.  We want to invest in you.  Please send us your prayer request.  Our team of intercessors will storm the gates of heaven in prayer for you.  So please…write to us!

Together we can!

Dear Partners:

It is my joy to share Good News from a far country.  THANK YOU for praying for my trip to CHINA.  With the help of your prayers, we’re able to minister in half a dozen house churches and conducted a three day training seminar for leaders and Bible School students.  I thank my brother Neil Anderson (www.sowers.org) who invited me to help him on this trip.

We ministered in Shanghai, Beijing and another city near the North Korea border.  We hosted a team from Connecticut, USA who taught the seminars and baptized six new believers in the bathtub of our hotel.

Everywhere we went; people listened with their mouth open absorbing everything we could share from the Word.  In one meeting in Shanghai, a 10x12 foot size room was packed with 30-35 believers and their leaders.  These brothers and sisters represented 10 different provinces.  The leader of the group, Bro. G’s goal is to train them in the Word and send them back to their native places to plant churches.

Brother G travels between 10 different provinces all over China.  He has led at least 20,000 people to Christ.  G has personally baptized over 3,000 of them.  In Shanghai alone he as planted six churches.  Bro. G has networking relationship with more than 500 churches each one typically has about 200-300 followers.  Since 1997 G has been involved in training 2,000 young people throughout China.

Please pray for the work in NEPAL.  Our team there is serving God with much hardship, lack and suffering.  They continue to reach village after village walking muddy path in monsoon rain.  Often they’re hungry and thirsty but they don’t complain.  They have no money for a cold coke or a cup of tea.  But they continue to bring the Gospel to the people who have never heard.  They pray for the sick and cast out demons.  Those who receive Christ, follow them to one of our churches.  So far, 18,415 souls have been reached.  1,785 have been lead to Christ this year.  Out of these 1,669 visited one of our churches for the first time.

Please pray for my next trip to INDIA and NEPAL in the month of November/December.  We have many invitations to come and preach in revival meetings, evangelistic gatherings, youth meetings and training for pastors and leaders in ministry.  In the last couple of years, God has renewed a passion in my heart to reach my own country of India.  Both the natural and spiritual conditions there are disastrous.  People are bound in centuries old tradition and idol worship.  The saddest part is nobody told them about the Good News.  Among those who have heard, people are turning to Christ by the masses – 17,000 a day!  Will you help us make a difference?  We need $7,800 towards the expenses of the upcoming meetings.

Your prayers and generosity make a powerful impact!  What a privilege we have to bring the Gospel to those who have never heard.  Imagine investing in souls that gives eternal dividend.  The Gospel IS THE POWER OF GOD to Salvation.  That is why I am not ashamed to tell you that we need your support urgently.  We have serious financial needs that need immediate action.  THANK YOU for planting your best possible seed in this ministry so that a great harvest of souls can be reaped.

Yours in the Gospel,

Sandy Anderson

August

Dear Partners:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT.  Because of your involvement with us, thousands in NEPAL, INDIA and CHINA are hearing the Gospel every month, hundreds are giving their lives to Jesus and dozens of people are added to the church every week.

I want to pronounce a blessing from the scripture upon your life for being a faithful friend and a partner with us.  "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.  (Numbers 6:24-26)

.

Twenty years ago, I was introduced to China ministry in Hong Kong.  In the picture above I'm seen loading my bags with Bibles and literature.  Since then I've made hundreds of trips to China bringing Bibles, literature, encouragement and hope to China's house church movement.  The needs today in the Chinese Church are same if not greater than twenty years ago due to major outbreak of REVIVAL throughout China.

Bibles are cherished and the most valuable possession for a Christian in China.  To this day, many times, over 100 people share one Bible among themselves.  There's a famine in the land for the Word of God.

Recent waves of persecution in China have destroyed several churches; and church leaders have been arrested.  In spite of oppositions and hardships, the Chinese church continues to grow and prosper in communist China.

I'm sure you know I'm leaving for China in less than ten days.  Please pray for the safety of the workers there and also for me.

WHEN: August 14-30, 2006
WHERE: Shanghai, Beijing and north east part of China
WHO: Myself and my brother Neil along with a team from the east coast and others from China
WHY: To encourage, serve and train Chinese house church leaders
HOW: We'll be conducting meetings in small gatherings in private homes and hotels

Thank you again for your love for missions. We appreciate your prayers and generous support.

For Souls,

Open your mouth for the speechless. Plead the cause of the poor and needy. (Prov. 31:8-9)

Dear Partners:

I want to THANK YOU for your continued prayers, encouragement and support.  We’re grateful for God’s faithfulness, your faithful partnership and commitment of our brothers and sisters.  Our half yearly report shows that 14,034 people were reached so far, 9,819 sick people were prayed for, 1,503 of them were led to Christ and 1,369 came to one of our churches for the first time!  Our staff also spent 4,795 hours in intercessory prayer and distributed 8,344 Gospel tracts.  God is working and we’re privileged to be His co-laborers.

I have some exciting news to share with you.  My brother Neil has been working in CHINA extensively for the last 20 years.  He has invited me to join him in training house church leaders next month (August 14-30).  We will go to Beijing and then take the train to the countryside to encourage our persecuted brothers and sisters.  We’re also planning to provide Bibles and other practical teaching material that are so scarce in China.

There’s a revival going on in China.  Did you know 25,000 people accept Christ in China everyday?  Sister Wang is 29 years old.  Her mother died when she was 18.  Wang’s father had been suffering from lung infection for 1½ years.  Coming from a poor family Sister Wang had no hope left.  Desperate, she decided to commit suicide by taking poison.  On that fateful day she stood with the poison in her hand when she heard a knock on the door.  But she proceeded with the poison again the knock sounded like a thunder so she opened the door.  “When I opened the door, I found nobody except a Gospel tract (The Heart of Man) lying on the floor.  Immediately I stopped drinking the poison and started to read the little booklet.  I accepted Jesus right there and then.  Later my father also gave his heart to the Lord.  He was completely healed and runs a vegetable shop while I serve the Lord full time now.”

Friends, our brothers and sisters are humbly waiting for assistance such as Bibles, teaching materials and financial aid.  Dozens of native missionaries need sponsors; children need food, education and medical attention.  Churches destroyed by authorities need to be rebuilt.  Whatever you can do to relieve the pain of our persecuted family, will be much appreciated.  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR CARING!

For Souls,

Why should we be involved in overseas missions?

Dear Partners,

Have you wandered why we should be involved in missions?  I was meditating on this and the Lord gave me 10 reasons why we should actively participate in reaching the lost overseas.

1. God is moving in foreign lands.  Did you know an estimated 17,000 people accept Christ everyday?  In China 25,000 are accepting Christ daily.  The best results come from working where God is working.  (Mt. 21:42-43)

2. People in the third world countries WANT to hear the Gospel.  Every place Jesus did mighty works, people were hungry and eager.  The few times, Jesus didn’t do a great work was when people were not excited and eager to receive from Him.

3. Signs, wonders and miracles are being done.  I believe miracles done by the Holy Spirit multiply church growth (Book of Acts).  Many times I’ve witnessed how one miracle has saved a whole family, village or an entire area.  It’s fun to watch God confirm His Word.

4. Best investment of our resources.  Every successful businessman watches for the best return on his investment.  Investing in missions ensures the most sure and long-lasting fruits that will remain for eternity.  Many times a one cent tract has saved a whole family!

5. It is fair.  Someone has said, “Why should anyone hear the Gospel twice when others have not heard it once!”

6. Commitment level of the workers are at all time high.   In spite of hardship, persecution and imprisonment the believers are willing to pay any price to spread the Gospel.

7. People around the world are praying for the Harvest.  The Harvest is ready but we must put people on location to bring it in.  All our prayers will do nothing if we don’t put the sickle to the harvest.

8. Jesus cannot return unless we preach to the WHOLE world.  (Mt. 24:14)

9. God wants to bless us.  God’s way is to “Give and you shall receive.”  If we cultivate God’s vineyard overseas, He will make our homes, businesses and churches to prosper.

10.  When we’re involved in missions, we’re in the center of God’s will.  (John 3:16) Don’t we all want to do His will in our lives?

Friends, will you engage in missions today?  Together we can make a difference!

For souls,

Nepal - No Longer A Hindu Kingdom

Dear Partners:

“We the Nepali Christians are free to do our activities in the Nation now!” This message arrived yesterday from Build International workers, rejoicing in radical changes in their government.

Nepal has just been through a violent nineteen day revolution, at the end of which their House of Representatives was finally reinstated. Yesterday, on 18th of May 2006, the new government unanimously passed a declaration of the following changes:

Nepal, previously the only Hindu kingdom in the world, was declared a secular state.

The name of the government was changed from “His Majesty’s Government” to “Nepal government” and the name of the army from “Royal Nepal Army” to the “Nepali Army.”   The national anthem is being changed accordingly (which previously attributed the greatness of the king).

King Gyanendra was removed as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the army, and the provision previously in the constitution that said the king’s acts could not be challenged has been removed.  Soon the parliament will establish the necessary procedures for the election of the constituent assembly.

Your brothers and sisters in Nepal send you this message: “Many of you have been standing with us in prayer for days, months and years. THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND A MILLIONS THANKS!

We are so grateful to God. We welcome you all to join with us to celebrate this victory in the Spirit. We invite you to come and join with us to extend the Kingdom of God in this nation.”

Will you accept this invitation?  Will you help us take advantage of the new religious freedom in the country of Nepal by supporting the work of the gospel there?  God has answered our prayers and opened the door of opportunity.  Let’s build something together!!

Yours for the Gospel,

April

Dear Partners:

God has answered your prayers for Nepal.  After nineteen days of revolution that shut down the entire country, Monday night, April 24th, King Gyanendra finally agreed to reinstate the House of Representatives.  After the TV broadcast of his speech was finished, people ran out into the streets in their night clothes dancing and shouting in victory, “The people have won!”

This is huge step forward in the restoration of a democratic system in Nepal.  The House of Representatives was dissolved in May 2002, and the king assumed total power in February 2005.  Now both of those acts have been reversed.

It has also brought a measure of relief to a country under siege.  People can go out of their homes and buy food again.  Prices are still high but slowly returning to normal. Christians can resume church meetings.  And the Nepali people are full of hope for the future.

We spoke to our Build International workers yesterday after almost two weeks of being out of communication.   All were well and unhurt, and much relieved that the nineteen days of general strikes were over.  They thank you for your prayers for them, and ask that you continue praying for their country during this critical time of change.

With Nepal's new found freedom, our team is preparing to launch a new outreach campaign and church planting initiative.  In the next six months, our goal is to recruit 25 new Gospel workers.  In the villages, it takes as little as $1 a day to sponsor a native worker.  In towns and cities it cost only $50-$150 per month to support a whole family.

THANK YOU for praying for our brothers and sisters in Nepal.  Many Nepalese people paid the price, some even lost their lives to secure freedom for their country.  The political battle is won, but the spiritual battle for souls is still raging.

Friends, will you please make a small sacrifice to support the Gospel work in Nepal?  "How shall they preach unless they are sent?" (Romans 10:15)

Yours for the Gospel,

March

Dear Partners:

“The church in Nepal is not only surviving but thriving,” said Pastor Robert.

Fifty years ago, Pastor Robert came from Darjeeling, India one of the first missionaries to Nepal.  Today he has the largest church in Nepal with many associate churches throughout the country involving more than 10,000 members.  “There are over 700,000 followers of Christ in the country” said Pastor Robert, “compared to only 15,000 known Christians in 1979.”  Currently his church is being torn down and rebuilt for the third time to make room for thousands of new believers who are flocking to the church.

Friends, I just returned from my trip to Nepal and India.  I saw army tanks mounted with heavy machine guns parked in all corners of the capital city of Kathmandu.  The country is in its 11th year of civil war, but in spite of the conflict between the government and the Maoist rebels, God is working.

While I was there, we baptized eight new believers openly in a nearby river.  The oldest was over 60 years old and the youngest was 14.  We also held a worship celebration.  Around 240 believers from newly established churches participated, and 15 people accepted Christ.

I also sat with dozens of our staff members to listen to their hearts, their struggles and their aspirations.  It was very humbling to hear how they have continued to serve God daily in spite of hardships, persecution, and meager resources.  One of the dire needs lacking in the Christian community is encouragement and practical teaching.  I was able to share with them on topics like how to be a winner in life, overcoming everyday temptations, resolving conflict, fulfilling married life, living in the blessings of God, practical steps to financial prosperity.  Courtesy of Joyce Meyer Ministries, I was also able to distribute faith-building teaching material to the pastors and Christian leaders.

Friends, THANK YOU for sending me to feed those hungry for the Kingdom of God.  Without your prayers and financial contributions I could not have gone.  I was touched and reminded again about the simplicity of the Gospel and those who live by it.  Like Nehemiah, my heart is broken over the perils of God’s people.  There’s so much to do and so little time.  I have returned with all kinds of small and large projects that everybody can participate in.  Please check out the response slip and send it back to us today.  Together we can make a difference!

Building His Kingdom,

February

Dear Partners:

“If you come again we will cut off your legs and hands.”

This was the threat a group of Mao rebels gave Pastor Raju, preaching in the remote part of western Nepal.  The Maoists have been fighting in Nepal since 1996 to overthrow the world's only Hindu monarchy and install communist rule, a revolution that has killed at least 12,500 people and shattered the economy. “On one hand there is the fear of Maoists, on the other hand we fear the government army,” Pastor Raju told us recently.  “By God’s grace and His help we are pressing toward the goal [to win souls].”

Youth workers from Pastor Raju’s church recently visited a village called Ghudasawa to preach the gospel.  They met a 55 year old woman named Rana Ama who had been unable to walk for five years.  The local witchdoctors had tried to cure her with all kinds of black magic, without success. The youth workers told her about Jesus, and invited her to the church.  She came, riding on a bullock cart, and Pastor Raju led the church in praying for her healing.  The next week Rana Ana was back, without the cart.  Healed by the power of Jesus, she walked an hour and a half to come.  Because of this miracle, she and her whole family received Jesus as Savior.

It is for people like Rana Ama that Pastor Raju continues to preach in spite of the danger of getting caught between the Maoist rebellion and the king’s absolute monarchy. Through the work of Raju and others, 3496 people have heard the Gospel and 476 have confessed Jesus to be their Savior since the beginning of 2006.

Recently, the leader of Nepal’s Maoist rebels Prachanda gave a rare interview on BBC.  In this interview, Prachanda, who has lived in an underground existence for more than two decades, said that Nepal's King Gyanendra will ultimately be exiled or executed because he has closed the door to any political compromise since seizing absolute power a year ago. Please pray for the protection of the Nepalese believers during this time of instability.

Next week, I’ll be in Nepal and India to meet with Christian leaders including Pastor Raju.  We will be strategizing ways to continue to win 100,000 souls for Christ.  As a part of our campaign, we’re planning a worship gathering involving over 40 local churches.

I am going to this troubled area, because I believe the Gospel can change a nation.   Please pray and consider financially supporting people who risk their lives every day to share the gospel.  I guarantee you that the return on your investment will bear fruit that will last for eternity.

Thank you for your involvement to fulfill God’s number one agenda on earth!

For Souls,

January

Dear Partners:

2006 is here and my heart is full of expectations from the Lord to reach the unreached.  By the time you get this letter, we’ll have just finished our one week of fasting and prayer for you and our ministry together in missions.  During the fasting and prayer God gave me specific directions and guidance for 2006.

First and foremost, we must reach the lost.   We’re launching our three year campaign to bring 100,000 souls to Christ.  Dozens of small and large evangelistic outreaches are scheduled in 2006.

Second, we must make disciples.  This means training.  We’re going to conduct over a dozen training sessions in various formats.  Most of them will be church based but we’re also looking into formal training for leaders in ministry.

Third, we need to plant churches.  Our goal is to start at least 50 churches this year.  Once there is a group of new believers, the only way to “keep them saved” is to integrate them in local churches where they can learn from the Bible and live together as Christians.

Fourth, send new Gospel Workers into the mission field.  Our goal is to add 45 new workers to be released into the unreached areas.  Several of them are already doing the work of the Gospel without support but lack of resources are limiting their full potential.

Fifth, but not the least, we’re going to target reaching children.  Children are the next generation who cannot be ignored.  What we invest in our children today will determine how bright the future will look tomorrow.

I’m leaving for India and Nepal on February 20th 2006.  We need $7,700 to make this trip possible.  The funds will be used for training, worship meetings, native missionary support, training materials, travel expenses, etc.  Please help!

Let me close by saying thank you for your friendship.  Please continue to pray for us.  And please consider supporting this ministry financially.  We can translate your sacrificial gift into saving lost souls. Wouldn’t you love to meet men, women and children in heaven who entered God’s Kingdom because of your sacrifice and involvement?

Anticipating your reply,
