Dauth Gurung (pictured above) is an eight
year old boy from a remote region in Nepal. It takes 4-5 days to
reach his village from Kathmandu.
In appearance, the villagers
strongly resemble the Tibetans.
People live in extreme poverty here.
There is not enough food to go
around for the whole village.
There is no school; no electricity.
Sickness and disease flourish
because doctors are not interested in going to remote areas.
The climate is so cold that people
take baths once a month and wear the same clothes for a year!
Dauth (pictured above) was a shepherd in his village.
He was an honest, hard-working boy.
But he had severe speech
disability.
His family was so poor that he
lived on only one piece of bread every day and that was very
dirty and half cooked.
One day the Lord opened the door for Dauth to come to
Friend, did you know, more than 9 million children
under age 5 die every year and
malnutrition accounts for more than one-third of these deaths?
Psalm 72:4 says, "Help him to
defend the
poor,
to rescue the children of the needy, and to crush their
oppressors”.
You can help mentor a child like Dauth, for only $1 a day or $30
per month.
We have many children who are in
desperate condition.
Will you save one life?
The Scripture says, "Give
generously to the
poor,
not grudgingly,
for the Lord your God will
bless
you in everything you do”. Speaking for those who have no voice, Sandy Anderson President Help Us Save Lives: www.BUILDInternational.org/child ren.html |
